RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Milspec 5 are happy to assist our patrons and customers who wish to return or exchange goods purchased online. Milspec 5 aim to make the returns process as simple and easy as possible for you.

RETURN POLICY

  1. All goods purchased from Milspec 5 come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

  2. You must provide proof of purchase (e.g. your Milspec 5 receipt, online tax invoice, credit card or bank statements).  Any refund will be provided via the same method of payment as the original purchase.

  3. If the product item purchased from Milspec 5 

  • has either faulty workmanship or materials

  • is, or becomes, faulty through no fault of yours

  •  has defects that were not obvious or not brought to your attention

  •  is not fit for the stated purpose or a purpose you made known to our sales staff

  • the product does not match the description or sample, 

It can be returned. Upon assessment, Milspec 5 will offer a full refund or replacement if there was a major problem with the items we may offer a repair or replacement if the problem is not major.​

WARRANTIES

  1. For warranties, goods must be returned within a reasonable time, with proof of purchase, and exhibit a problem that has not been caused by you.  

  2. Exclusions - warranties do not cover:

    • Adhesives/Glues – Adhesives will naturally dry and break down over time. The longevity of your product will be reduced through heavy use and lack of aftercare, as well as lack of use and long periods of storage.

    • Wear and Tear – Anything that is reaching or has reached the end of its natural life.

    • Accidental Damage – By you or someone else (e.g. baggage handlers), including rips, cuts, scuffs, tears, abrasions, odours and stains.

    • Poor Aftercare – Your product should be cleaned and maintained to prolong the natural life, e.g. boots need to be cleaned and conditioned after use.

    • Leaking Waterproofs – Waterproofs that have reached the end of their serviceable life.

    • Improper Use or Modifications – Damages caused by misuse or alteration of the product.

    • Second-Hand Items – Second-hand items purchased through second-hand reseller websites, e.g. ebay/Gumtree.

CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS

  1. If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind about your purchase, MilSpeecc 5 will offer you a refund provided that:

    • You return the item within 28 days from the purchase date. After this period you may not be entitled to a refund or exchange.

    • You produce your original MilSpec 5 receipt, online tax invoice or other adequate proof of purchase when returning the item.

    • The item has not been used or damaged in any way including that:

    • It is in the original packaging, including any accessories and instruction manuals; and

    • It is unworn, unopened, unused and in its original condition.

    • The item is not one of the goods listed below as a good for which a change of mind return is not available.

  2. All Change of Mind refunds are issued at the discretion of Milspec 5.  We reserve the right to refuse a refund for a Change of Mind request if it does not comply with these conditions.

 

GOODS ON WHICH A CHANGE OF MIND RETURN IS NOT AVAILABLE

  1. MilSpec 5 will not accept the return of items from the following categories under the change of mind returns policy in any circumstances:

    • Climbing and abseiling equipment

    • Clearance items

    • Gift Cards

    • Special Customer Order

    • Perishable goods

  2. ​Some goods may require an assessment to determine whether a repair, replacement or full refund is appropriate, including:

    • Tents & Shelters over $400

HOW TO RETURN GOODS ORDERED ONLINE BY POST

  1. Please refer to our refund policy for full terms and conditions.

  2. For a 'change of mind' return or exchange, the delivery fee is non - refundable.

  3. Use and complete an enquiry form and we will assist with the product return via Australia Post or courier service.

  4. Refunds associated with product returns occur once the product has been received from the Australia Post or courier service and assessed in-line with the Returns Policy.

  5. MilSpec 5 is not responsible for any postage costs associated with returned goods, except in cases where the items have been recalled or you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

  6. Obtain proof of postage to track your return as MilSpec 5 cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.  Please contact your delivery provider to locate your parcel through tracking systems.

RETURNS AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

  1. In order to process your return we may request and record your ID and personal information.

  2. Any personal information you provide will be managed in accordance with MilSpec 5’s privacy policy which can be viewed through this website here.

RETURNS PROCESS

Returns for any purchases may be done by returning the goods (as per conditions outlined in the Returns & Exchanges Policy) by mailing the goods to:

We want to make sure returning your MilSpec 5 purchase is a simple and hassle-free experience. Follow the steps below to ensure your purchase is successfully returned:

​

  1. Pack and label your item

  2. In order to protect your return from damage during delivery, please ensure strong external packaging is used.

  3. Include a printed copy of your Tax Invoice, Credit card or Banks Statements as proof of purchase.

  4. We recommend that you obtain proof of postage to track your return, as MilSpec 5 cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit during the delivery process. 

  5. Drop your parcel off at a convenient street post box, Post Office or Parcel Locker

  6. Allow time for your parcel to reach usand for your refund, repair or replacement to be processed. Refunds may take 2-3 business days to process.

Notes:

  1. MilSpec 5 is not responsible for postage costs associated with returned goods, except in cases where the items have been recalled or you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

  2. For all change of mind returns, the returnee will be responsible for the postage costs.

  3. Once returns are received by our warehouse, your refund may take 2-3 business days to process.
